Copper-nickel (Cu-Ni) alloys have a very low resistivity, a high thermal conductivity and also a high level of formability and weldability, they are recommended for the manufacturing of low temperature electric resistors.

CuNi alloys can not be used to making heating elements as they have a maximum operating temperature of 400°C.
